A fellow runner slated to run this weekend at the marathon, just admitted her 15 year old daughter to Texas Children's Hospital with a diagnosis of Leukemia.
Natalia will be in the hospital for 6 - 8 months. She began receiving chemo today.
If you are running the Houston marathon this weekend, please remember Natalia and her family as you put one foot in front of the other.

I am so sorry to hear that Karen; it's the daughter of a woman from your running club?
I know they have a fantastic staff at TX Children's for leukemia. I will definitely keep her in my prayers.
I didn't know Melissa ran. What a small world. The CCC teens are working on a project for Natalia. I will send information after we meet today.
